Cricket & Me - Story of Mayur Makar

Not out…..

On the cricket pitch he was not able to give his best but he did not loose hope, while handling the balance sheet as a commerce aspirant he started cricket coaching for students to fullfill his dream of playing CRICKET. Being a die hard fan of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, he decided to dedicate himself to coaching of cricket for next three years.

Mayur Makar
This is the story of Mayur Makar who stays at the foothills of Parvati in Pune. He stays in a small house with his family. He secured first class in twelfth standard making his parents proud. He is studying in Maharashtra College of Commerce in First year of Bcom. Mayur use to love playing cricket from his childhood and it became his passion. he says by watching Sachin Tendulkar playing cricket is passion for the game also increased. He said he will dedicate his next three years for cricket to become a successful player and at present wants to establish his position as a cricket coach.

Now as a student of first year B.com and working as assistant coach at ‘cricket next academy’ he handles this double responsibility. Beside this he teaches cricket to students of 8-14 years of age at Katariya high school .. Showing his passion towards cricket he got a chance to play with Maharashtra premier league and working there as a assistant coach.

Mayur specially thanks ‘Children’s Future India’ for their constant support and helping him and his family financially. He thanks the organization for providing him with traveling fare and the cricket kit. He says because of their support I am able to reach at this position.

He does not regret that he has to handle both his studies and the game of cricket. His morning starts early with attending college from 7.00 in morning 11.30am, he cannot attend all the lectures as he has to take practice of the students. In afternoon he comes home to have his food and then goes to collage library for studies and then again goes on ground to coach his students. He says it becomes very late to reach home due to his hectic schedule, but he enjoy this!! He thinks nowadays cricket has become only rich people's game and it is, but mayur says that with his ambition and passion he will be a successful player…

On behalf of CFI and CFN sponsors, well wishers we wish that Mayur achieve's his goals and make a mark for himself!

Importance of educational sponsorship support in my life!

Hello, my name is Pallavi Londhe, I have been supported by the kind hearted CFN sponsor through CFI pune unit office from June 2001, its been 10 years that I have received educational support through the organization.

I am very glad that CFI gave me this opportunity to share my heart with YOU:
Since last 10 years CFI is sponsoring me for education which has helped me and benefited me at larger extend. My father is autorikshaw driver, he tries to fulfill the educational, requirements of five siblings including me. But he has to takes lots of efforts to do so but in this condition CFI plays very important role to support me and my family in carrying out this work, I have acquired 83% in my 10th boards examination In this CFI has played a important role in my achievement.

I acknowlege the contribution of great educational reformers and social thinkers like Mahatma Phule who faced lots of problems for us. It was he who gave priority to education of girl child and started schools for girls and it is though his hard efforts that most of the girls in India are taking education.

Leaders like Dr Ambedkar and Mahatma Phule are my idol. Dr. Ambedkar played important role in the upliftment of less privileged section of the society by giving the slogan of “LEARN, Get ORGANISED and AGITATE”. CFI through CFN sponsors are working on the similar grounds for us.

Today in our community many children are sponsored and are motivated to take education at different level. Children should learn to grow up to become good citizens and work towards the welfare of the society.

CFI has taken efforts to solve my educational and personal family problems. In the last month Pune unit had organized Career Guidance workshops for 10th and 12th standard students which was helpful for me to chose my career, now I have planned to opt for diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

On this occasion I remember few lines which are written in class 10th text book by a well known poet:
“The giver and taker are equally important
For neither can exist without the other
one need the other for own fulfillment”

I will never forget the efforts taken by CFN/CFI for my educational support, I wish that when I will get educated and start earning, I will also help another child who needs education support.
Students felicited for their outstanding performance in the 10th & 12th Examinations
I hope that CFN/CFI will continue to contribute for my further studies and motivate me to complete my higher studies.
